about Irrie

So here’s the thing…

Here’s a little about Irrie. I was born in Brookhaven, MS, but grew up in multiple places. Growing up, I lived mostly in Monticello. While there, I graduated high school in 2016, and received my Associate of Arts in Graphic Design in 2018 from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. I’m a 2021 graduate from The University of Southern Mississippi, and I was very active. In my time, I became a member of the Afro-American Student Organization, The National Society of Leadership and Success, The Southern Miss Association of Black Journalists, The NAACP, the San Francisco Chapter of the AIGA, NIRSA, PRSSA, and AAF.

I still love making art when I’m free. When it comes to fun, I’m more of a goal oriented person. I prefer not to be involved in anything that has no benefit to me, and the people who surround me. A self-starter, I like for everything that I do to have a purpose. In the future, I’m going to open my own creative agency. After that, I’m going back to school to complete my degree in engineering . When I complete that, I’m going to further my passion by becoming a theoretical physicist. I’ll work in my own research center, and still create design solutions. You can view my resume below.
