This project was based on layouts and grid systems. I chose to emphasize the relationship the artwork and its supporting content. I chose The Ugly Duckling because of its story. Seeing the duck go from shunned by many, to being loved by one family and then the transition to a swan, was a beautiful comparison to the lives that many people live. I think that doing a painting was a great way to show the roughness and beauty of the swan’s story, and it turned out great. You can view the full pdf below.
