Social Commentary
White Nationalism….Let’s talk about it.
This project was intended to create a magazine spread that would bring awareness to a societal issue. I chose to use white nationalism as the topic for my magazine spread. I chose this because of the history behind it, and what I think should be done to prevent crimes committed in its honor.
Creative Process
The process was mostly trial and error, and I used a lot of materials to get the paper to stick together. Students were required to create the image by hand. That means it focused on transferring paper. The paper was used to create an image that could be used in the spread. The transfer materials that I used were alcohol, bleach, fingernail polish remover, oil and water.
