To new beginnings
A few months after working with Chesbro, I took on a new opportunity at Swiftly Systems. During my last few months at Chesbro, I had felt that it was time for me to move on. So, because of this, I used my connections to find my next role. Once I left Chesbro and started at Swiftly, I was more than excited about working at my first tech led organization.
During my first few days, I didn’t know what to expect. However, I quickly caught on to the work that we would be creating. As the months went on, I was a little disappointed in the work output from the company. It felt a bit repetitive to me, but I still held out hope that it would change. Sadly, it never did, and I felt myself outgrow the role that I was given.
This was definitely a learning experience, and I would say to always make sure that you have a strong support system in whatever job you have.
I stayed at Swiftly for about a year, and oddly enough, I actually resigned on my work anniversary. I could go into detail on why I left, but due to creative differences, organizational structure and not feeling supported, I knew it was time for me to move on. Swiftly allowed to me to grow as a designer, and to see what it was like working within startup culture. While with Swiftly, I worked with the marketing and product team. I am very proud of the work that I was able to produce while at Swiftly, and it can be viewed here.
